<h2>DLM-Spec Super Alloy MAX Over-sized Cylinder Head Valves &amp; Ultra High RPM Beryllium Inserts!</h2>
<p>After an agonizing 6 months of constant research and development. <strong> Ferrea &amp; DLM</strong> have developed and manufactured its own exclusive Max over-sized super alloy valves, purposely designed to propel our beloved Ford 4.0L Barra twin over head cam inline 6 cylinder powerplant to the next level. We are pleased to inform the masses that apart from being capable of handling the most intense <strong>Turbo, Nitrous &amp; Ultra high RPM</strong> applications, they can expect massive gains when purchasing one of our <strong>stage 5</strong> and onwards cylinder head packages, these valves and inserts will become standard fitment when purchasing a long motor or cylinder head alone from our portfolio of options. You will have the option of complimenting your valves with our<strong> beryllium copper inserts</strong> that are designed to reduce friction and handle<strong> very high RPM</strong> requirements of up to<strong> 10,000+rpm</strong> as used currently on <strong>Nascar</strong> engines in the USA. A little info and some pictures below of the stock that just landed today as well as the unique forging process utilized by our associates<strong> Ferrea</strong> in the development of these exclusive part numbers for <strong>Dragons Lair Motorsports</strong>!</p>
<p>These will also be available through our store for the clients that wish to build there own cylinder heads in sets of <strong>24</strong> by the weekend as we update our files.</p>
<p>In the production of our &#8220;one piece forging valve,&#8221; the head of the valve is forged under a slow two-step process to avoid damage to the material structure. The forging piece is then machined entirely to eliminate any imperfection from the forging operation. Next is triple heat treatment, the stress-relief process, the grinding, and then the coating. Finally the valve stem is rolled to remove the rough scale and any gross imperfection on the surface. Ultrasonic tests and x-rays are then performed piece-by-piece to give each part a certified quality.</p>

<p>Daniel Linderman from Dragons Lair Motorsports has been very busy prepping his mental BA Falcon over an agonizing 12 months basically redesigning the whole car! The car has run a best of 8.86@143mph weighing in at 1700+kg&#8217;s in its previous form on a 3 quarter track pass, so it wasn&#8217;t slow to begin with at any stretch of the imagination. After much deliberation, planning &amp; research DLM &amp; Daniel decided to go to the next level sporting a custom DLM-Spec 1098R bottom end with a killer DLM-Spec Stage 6 Solid Lifter Cylinder head and custom cam configuration. The peripherals needed to be addressed accordingly so a custom race-port DLM inlet manifold with duel injector rails, 100+mm throttle body, and Mental custom 6Boost exhaust manifold to compliment a very special turbo charger from Precision&#8230;.</p>
<p>Controlling all of the above is a Platinum Haltech 2000 with all the bells and whistles including electronic dash, AMS1000, and custom CDI unit for plenty of spark. The drive-train is a modified T400 auto with trans-brake and custom 9inch sporting a strange ultra case, major modifications have occurred in this region and plenty of other tuff bits have been fitted.</p>
<p>We will refrain from forecasts and speculations and let the numbers do the talking very shortly! A small video below for your enjoyment showing the little Dragons heart on the test cell for the final time with all systems go, Daniel has managed not to sleep very much at all in the past few days so the fitting of the engine and most peripherals are almost completed within 72hours! <p>“We were certainly running a very conservative tune last year but after putting that much work in, our main objective was simply to be there and finish” said Mark Berry “This year will be another whole story. We will have months to fine tune the setup and also learning to drive with aero is another animal altogether. We are confident there is a few seconds still in this car, which all going well should move us up closer to the real pointy end, but having said that we also expect many other teams will be doing a lot of work in the off season too. The competition is bound to be more serious than ever in 2012”</p>

<p>&#8220;The car is powered by a dry sump RB30 built by Hi Octane Racing with a RB26 head and stuffed full of all the good gear with CP Pistons, Pauter connecting rods and a RB26 head full of Tomei gear. Whilst they were coy about actual power figures we were told that this E85 powered monster makes somewhere around 500kw at all four wheels on maximum boost depending on turbo choice. This is another area that will be the subject of much testing but needless to say the car will now run a large single turbo of some description. The car will also run on Advan wheels with soft 295 AO50 tyres all round.&#8221;</p>

<p>The R34 was back at CNJ Motorsport in Brisbane this week and was cranking out some very serious dyno numbers thanks to some fine tuning on E85 and a switch to a totally different turbocharger</p>
<p>“Spiro at Dragons Lair Motorsport  in Queensland has jumped on board with support of the latest Precision Turbocharger direct from the USA” said Mark “and the first signs have been very positive, in fact we have made a gain of 70kw from our old combination. This is a fantastic result considering this is the first turbo size and combination that we have tried from the Precision range. The turbo produces very surprising results straight out of the box and we cannot wait to get it on the track. I would like to thank Spiro for his ongoing help to make even more improvements before we hit Eastern Creek in August”</p>
<p>Whilst we were made to promise we would not show the dyno graph we can tell you that though it produces a drag racing type horsepower figure at peak revs this 3 litre engine also appears to make buckets of power everywhere and certainly the Advan/Hi Octane team are one of the many Australians that are stepping up their game yet again before the foreigners arrive and by all accounts spending countless hours chasing every small detail to take on what can only be described as the most competitive pro time attack field yet.</p>

<p>For those of you who don&#8217;t know the Geri Brotherhood they have quite a collection of serious race cars between them, above is Paul&#8217;s 4.6L Modular twin turbo powered Ford, (in a dodge chassis). After numerous discussions regarding this build Dragons Lair Motorsports  has decided  to provide a helping hand in this exciting project taking care of the turbo combination requirements! Being a small budget family operated team behind this car is what attracted us to this project, the boys have plenty of runs on the board as far as drag racing achievements are concerned and DLM is proud to assist this hard working team. A short quote below from the owner provides a brief overview of our goals!</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Quote;</span> Paul Geri got some great news today, a nice early Christmas present.</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;DRAGONS LAIR MOTORSPORTS and PRECISION TURBO&#8217;s WILL BE JOINING THE BROTHERHOOD AND BECOMING THE TURBO SPONSOR FOR OUR OUTLAW 10.5 CAR</strong></p>
<p>we are very proud and excited to have DLM and Precision Turbo&#8217;s jump on board with their fantastic support. after a couple conversations with Spiro at DLM  i have found him to be a very switched on individual with a huge passion for drag raging.</p>
<p>we are honoured to have such a person come in and give us little guys a shot. we are happy DLM saw something in us to give it a go. the APSA Outlaw 10.5 class next year will be the premier class of racing in Australia, a whole mix of different cars coming together and putting on a show, the only thing in common is 2-doors and 10.5W tyres.</p>
<p>Spiro loves his Ford&#8217;s, he might get a bit of stick for backing a Dodge, but, it&#8217;s the heart that counts and that is all Ford. Spiro has a crazy build in the works a BA Falcon and a hypo Ford 4L I6.</p>
<p>after seeing a couple 10.5 cars out testing on the weekend, Pistol Pete&#8217;s Camaro and the amazing Nova of Frank Mamone&#8217;s. we needed to step up our game, and get something a little more crazy, which with the DLM-spec Precision Turbo&#8217;s i believe we have done that.</p>
<p>it&#8217;s a long road from finishing a car to getting it competetive, but, i think our little 281ci DOHC V8 will give it a good shot and turn a few heads against cars with 2 even 3 times the cubic capacity. being a modern small cube DOHC V8 we have something a little different and hope to put on a good show.</p>
<p>i don&#8217;t have too much information about the turbo&#8217;s except they will be a custom built Precision billet CEA wheel turbo specced specifically for my engine and capable of pumping out 1200hp each, so up to 2400hp if we so wish to push it that far, i think for the time being we might cap it at about 1800-2000hp for now and after we get some track time see where it goes.&#8221;</p>
<p>At this stage we will refrain from speculation and let the numbers do the talking! Further and better particulars will be forthcoming shortly watch this space&#8230;.</p>

<p>Lets just say that Precision Turbo &amp; Engine have been very busy indeed with Research and Development!  As always constantly reviewing their products technology to give their Clients &amp; Racers alike the leading edge in performance. Recently during my visit to the USA I had the opportunity to see these advances first hand, what I did realize first and foremost is that this company operates like a family with extreme passion in everything they involve themselves with, this is a very unique feature in today&#8217;s day and age, Precision has a face, from the respectful staff you deal with over the phone, its owner Harry that is readily accessible to provide his support, all the way down to their in-house engineering staff that are ready willing and able to answer our questions and sometimes difficult requests, unlike the multinational conglomerates  that mostly operate without face.</p>
<p>Above is a very exciting new design to the Pro Mod series of race bread turbochargers. You will notice that the compressor back plate and cartridge are a one piece  billet design, increased heat disbursement abilities, no leaking seals to worry about, larger high tech shafts, and overall improved efficiency is what you can expect from these killer units currently in  testing on various high profile record setting race cars!</p>
<p>We expect/hope these units to be available in Australia through Dragons Lair Motorsports by  March-April 2012, a product well worth waiting for in any serious build!</p>

<p>We are pleased to announce that our highly-anticipated 58mm, 62mm, 66mm Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) turbine wheels are now available from DLM in January 2012!</p>
<p>Specifically engineered with the performance enthusiast in mind, our exclusive CEA high-flow turbine wheels produce an average increase of 20-45 horsepower over comparably-sized standard designs. Spool-up time is also improved when using these CEA turbine wheels to further reduce turbo lag and improve performance.</p>
<p>Our CEA turbine wheels are also available in 62mm and 66mm sizes. Turbochargers featuring the old-style 57mm, 62mm and 65mm turbine wheels can be upgraded to use the new CEA 58mm, CEA 62mm and CEA66mm sizes, respectively.</p>
<p>With available horsepower levels ranging from mid-300 to almost 1,000, we have expanded our line of Entry Level Turbochargers to include 3 new compressor wheel sizes (6 new turbos in all) to fit a wider range of vehicles. <p>We are pleased to inform everyone that Croydon Racing Developments is now a DLM  authorized dealer for the state of NSW! Jim and his  crew are no strangers to the performance industry,  they have achieved  multiple records as well as setting blistering benchmarks over the years  in their various high profile builds. Dragons Lair Motorsports is glad  to have them on board representing us and our product range in their niche market in NSW. Having seen the work these Fella&#8217;s  have produced over the years  we have begun collaborating on some very exciting projects coming out of this well  established performance house.</p>

<p>Dragons Lair Motorsports and it&#8217;s associates Haltech &amp; CPWS finally present a viable answer to our 8 year battle with the standard Ford ecu, are you sick and tired of waiting for ECU flashes? Are you sick and tired of not being able to live tune? Are you sick and tired of boost, rpm, cam profile and spark limitations?</p>
<p>If the answer to the above is yes, you will need to look no further!</p>
<p><strong>What you will receive in this package;</strong></p>

<li> Haltech Platinum Sport 2000</li>
<li>Pro 16b M&amp;W CDI with Haltech ECU Trigger (running standard Ford BA-FG coils)</li>
<li>Dual Channel Halech Wideband controller</li>
<li>Haltech CAN Hub 6 Port</li>
<li>Aircraft Grade complete wiring loom for 6 injectors only, full mill spec connectors &amp; fuel, boost, transmision temp, oil temp, water temp, speed &amp; rpm sensors, suit cable throttle body only for now and are readily available through the DLM store in various sizes to suit your intake manifolds, clearly &amp; proffessionally labeled wiring loom for easy installation by a <strong>qualified </strong>and experienced auto electrician!</li>

<p>After a week of having belt dramas and misalignment problems with the new supercharger that was getting fitted, and then snapping a tensioner mount completely in half, Eddy decided to fit twin turbos to his street GTO, and with help from the team at Active Automotive, Shane the arm bandit Stephens, Bruno, Mark, Simon, Phil, and thanks to Spiro at Dragon Lair Motorsports, the first dyno runs produced 831.8hp!&#8230;with more to come&#8230; So stay tuned as we see more from this wild new combo&#8230;.</p>

We are pleased to inform the masses that our efforts have produced one of the most radically engineered massive up to 30% larger cylinder port inlet, twin injector per cylinder 90mm &amp; 102mm throttle body complete plenums! Dare I say the only one of its kind available for the Ford Barra 4.0L 6 Cylinder cult engine. These will very shortly be available exclusively through our store.</p>
